Minbalup Wilderness Lodge - Accommodation Moonbi

Minbalup Wilderness Lodge is situated 45kms north west of Tamworth in the Moonbi Ranges.

Minbalup offers basic but comfortable self contained accommodation for up to 32 people.  The beds consist of a mix of double and single beds, including bunk beds.  There is a large kitchen and dining area which easily caters for medium to large groups.  The kitchen facilities include two upright stoves, two BBQ’s and four fridge/ freezers.  There are four showers, three toilets and a washing machine and clothes dryer.

Large groups for the Tamworth Country Music festival are most welcome.

At certain times of the year access may be arranged to a 4800 acre Voluntary Conservation Area (VCA) with an abundance of wildlife and picturesque scenery, ideal for bushwalking, bird watching and small groups of horse riders. Horse riders must have their own horse and equipment and their own trail riding insurance.  Guests will be provided with detailed maps and UHF radios. Guided tours can be pre arranged. Tours of the area can also be provided in an 18 seater 4x4 extended Toyota land cruiser. Tours are dependent on the weather conditions and access to the VCA.

A games room which has ping pong tables, darts board, billiards table and a Nintendo Wii free for guests to use. There is also a half court basketball court which can also be used for badminton and volleyball.  Free to air TV is available in the shared lounge room.

Minbalup also offers fishing from a large stock dam which is stocked with Rainbow trout.
